Never dive alone

Never dive alone. It’s the first rule of freediving, given before any technique.

Underwater you don’t feel yourself going out. No warning, no panic, no chance to call. Between you and the end there’s one thing — a buddy watching you.

So freedivers go in pairs. One goes down, the other meets them at the surface.

Same in life. Don’t live it alone.

The universe acts through other people.
