Dark Matter

An Apple TV series. A guy invents a way to cross into parallel universes. I thought it was something about space. It turned out to be about love and the life you could have had. In one of the worlds he has no family: he decided the cosmic stuff mattered more.

It tells it like it is.

What if these worlds reflect our state of mind?

It seems you can just focus on the world you want to see and connect to it. But it takes much more. Everything gets in the way — fear, wandering thoughts, subconscious desires.

No world can be perfect. We can choose to make our life as beautiful as it can be.

The series shows how we change the universe inside our heads.

Season two is weaker: they started making things up on their own. Still plenty to think about.
