Soul

When Pixar made Soul, they spent a long time working out how to draw a soul. The souls they ended up with are kind of faceless. The early version, where the soul is a rainbow, is closer to the truth.

It brings to mind true colors. What you’re painted with inside.

I like comparing the soul to music even more. If God existed, he’d be something like music: kids hear it and start dancing, nobody has to explain. What music is playing inside you? Which notes sound in it — anger, fear, jealousy? Or joy, love, kindness?

Joy is a choice.
