Mine joy
Joy is a choice. Mine it
Joy is what you’re born with. Look at kids, puppies, kittens: they’re just glad to be alive. Where did it all go? Fear ate it.
Joy doesn’t keep, and you can’t stockpile it. Mine it daily — it expires at midnight. Happiness is the block reward, the payout for a mined block, just like in Bitcoin. You have to mine it fresh every time. Proof of work is just another word for proof it works.
Suffering for 70 years is too much. Seventy years of fun is barely enough, especially if the fun only started at 40.
It feels like without anxiety you’d go soft. The energy doesn’t go anywhere. It just flows toward what you want instead of away from what you fear.
Money solves money problems. What’s left are the ones money can’t solve. Get happy first.
Want to be happy? Play. Do the things you never got to do as a kid.
The world around me is falling apart, and I can’t stop it. But whether I enjoy my life is up to me, not to the world around me. I’ve tuned mine so that every moment is a joy, and then I widened that little island of sanity. Now everyone who listened is enjoying it with me.
Stop digging into yourself. Dig. Mine it.
Anything other than joy is a lie.
