Never dive alone
The first rule in freediving. And in life
Never dive alone. It’s the first rule of freediving, taught before any technique.
Underwater you don’t feel yourself blacking out. No warning, no panic, no chance to call. Between you and the end there’s one thing — a buddy watching you.
So freedivers go in pairs. One goes down, the other meets them at the surface.
Either you’re watching someone, or someone’s watching you. That’s all there is to it.
Same in life. Don’t live it alone.
