Talk yourself out
Stitch your life together
We’ll discuss the world, events, other people. Anything but ourselves. That’s the only thing we still actually know.
Once you start talking about yourself, the loose pieces become a story you’re in. Telling it stitches the picture together. When you talk to people, talk about yourself.
Words have power. Choose them carefully. The life you describe is the life you live in.
Speak and think only about what is. “Poverty”, “lovelessness” — word-masks for absence. You can’t build on them. If it isn’t in your life, it doesn’t exist. Don’t describe the holes. You make them, and whatever you build drops through.
You can only build from what is. By telling your life — you create it.
Be precise in your speech.
The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can.
