Atman is the one looking. The witness present before your first thought this morning and still there after the last one at night.
Not a name, a personality, a memory, a body. It was never born, doesn’t age, doesn’t suffer.
The decisive turn of Advaita: this “I” is not locked inside a skull. Atman is Brahman.
