Don’t trust your thoughts
You are not the voice in your head
You are not the voice in your head. You’re the one who hears it.
Lying down after a shoot, meditating. I’m not Nick — I’m his life.
Look for the one thinking the thoughts — no one’s there: that’s anatta. The one seeing them is atman.
The brain can’t stop thinking, the way the stomach can’t stop digesting. So you choose what to feed it.
Think it through hard once — then don’t come back to it. Decisions are made once, then they run themselves.
Thinking doesn’t solve problems. Thinking creates them.
