Sit still

A passage from conceptual reality into the real one

Sit down. Close your eyes. Breathe. Notice you’re thinking — return to the breath.

That’s the whole technique.

The goal of meditation is not to react. To expand within. The goal of awakening is permanent presence. Don’t forget you’re breathing.

It’s the only way I found to spot that I am not my thoughts. Twenty minutes of sitting and you watch the same scripts run on loop. After enough sitting you stop confusing the script with you.

Keys: love, relaxation, trust, balance, acceptance, letting go, no judgment.

The depth has a map: collectedness is samadhi, observation is vipassana.

Meditation really is a paradoxical life hack — good things happen when you stop trying so hard to make them happen.

Do it tomorrow morning before reaching for the phone.

Meditation is fasting for the mind.
